Vanessa is a Registered Acupuncturist with special interest in helping clients with musculoskeletal injuries, concussion recovery, acute and chronic pain, anxiety/depression, and digestive and reproductive health. Vanessa uses a gentle hands-on approach to treatment, with an emphasis on active listening, compassion, and understanding.
Since she was born, Vanessa has been steeped in the work-a-day world of Western and Eastern medicine as her mother, a doctor in both fields, operated her first clinic in the family home. The whole family was involved in the business, and their daily lives (nutrition, exercise, way of seeing things) were gently supported by the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Her decision to practice Acupuncture as a career was solidified at the age of seventeen, after her first trip to China to study Qi Gong. Since then, she completed the Diploma of Acupuncture program at Pacific Rim College and became a Registered Acupuncturist with the CTCMA in 2020. In addition to her formal training, Vanessa has participated in various workshops on nutrition, meditation, Japanese style acupuncture, facial gua sha, Thai massage, aromatherapy and more. Vanessa is passionate about supporting people with holistic medicine, and does so with a calm, compassionate and attentive presence.
I can’t imagine my life without Traditional Chinese Medicine. I learned from a very early age how powerful this medicine can be. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share what I’ve learned and assist people on their unique health journeys.Vanessa Robbert R.Ac
